LEAD RENOVATION, REPAIR & PAINTING PROGRAM to BECOME AN EPA CERTIFIED RENOVATOR

Using Kachina's EPA-approved training curriculums in lead safe practices, we provide a variety of venues to fit your individual or company needs, at your location or a convenient public facility.  We cover compliance, testing, safe operating procedures, and much more. Upon completion, we handle the processing of certificates and filing with the EPA, including the tracking of licensure approvals and advising re-certification when required.

Successful completion of this course will license the attendee as a Certified Renovator. Effective April 22, 2010, remodeling and home improvement jobs on pre-1978 housing require the contractor to test and determine if lead paint is present at the work area. If lead paint is present, the contractor must then use specialized “lead-safe work practices” in performing the job. Testing for lead paint may only be done by a licensed Certified Renovator. Lead safe work practices must be initiated, overseen, and certified by a licensed Certified Renovator. This is an 8-hour class (typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with exam. Two hours are hands-on participation.

Training by Kachina Lead Paint Solutions, accredited by the U.S. EPA for purposes of certification under section 402 of the Toxic Substances Control Act.
